Bellmer GmbH, a leading international supplier of paper and board machinery, proudly an-nounces the acquisition of Swedish-based Cellwood Machinery AB, an internationally re-nowned manufacturer of systems for wastepaper recycling and bioenergy pre-treatment.
Due to the weakened market conditions in Europe, which has resulted in a negative profit trend, Billerud has decided to launch a cost saving program targeting annualized savings of SEK 800 million. The planned cost saving program is expected to have a noticeable positive impact from the first quarter of 2026, and to reach full effect at the end of 2026.
Kemira expands its offering into industrial water treatment services and has signed a purchase agreement to acquire Water Engineering, Inc., a company specialized in water treatment services with headquarters in Nebraska, USA, from Nolan Capital, Inc.

The maintenance shutdown of the UPM Kaukas pulp mill, which began in August, will be extended for two weeks until October 11, 2025. In addition, the UPM Pietarsaari pulp mill will be temporarily shut down for approximately two weeks in November.
