Whether you're an industry or a new professional eager to get involved, your voice matters in the TAPPI Standards review process. You don't have to be a technical expert to participate, just someone who cares about improving the methods our industry relies on every day.
By joining a Standards-Specific Interest Group (SSIG), you'll be part of a consensus group that reviews a TAPPI Standard and decides whether it should be reaffirmed, revised, or withdrawn. Most SSIGs meet virtually or correspond via email. Your total time commitment is just a few hours a year.
We are especially looking for volunteers to support Standards up for review before the end of the year. We must meet quorum for each SSIG to move forward—and every vote counts.
Why Join a SSIG?
- Help maintain the technical accuracy and relevance of TAPPI Standards
- Collaborate with fellow industry professionals
- Grow your technical and leadership experience
- Build your professional visibility and TAPPI engagement
