North American Kraftliner's Share of Total Containerboard Production Is Shrinking

The share of North American kraftliner in containerboard production has been declining in recent years. FisherSolve® projects that by the end of 2025, kraftliner’s share will have fallen by about 13% since 2021. This is due to improved fiber recycling, new machines delivering higher-quality recycled grades, and global virgin fiber costs remaining elevated.
