There is one thing you can do that increases your chances of being hired: getting an employee referral. Referred candidates are more likely to get hired, perform better and last longer in jobs. This is why companies, large and small, are investing in referral programs. It makes good business sense for them and for you.
 
According to a report this past week featured on the Bloomberg Business, New York, N.Y., USA, website, as the digital age curtails use of newsprint and stationary, European papermakers are retooling their factories to produce more profitable materials that go into everything from fuels to sweeteners and even hair dye.
 
U.S. employers are taking longer—25 working days, on average—to fill vacant positions. That is a 13-year high, according to the Dice-DFH Vacancy Duration Measure, an index created by University of Chicago economist Steven Davis. At companies with 5,000 or more workers, the time to hire is even longer, at 58.1 working days. The index defines working days as Monday through Saturday.
 
The global Corrugated Packaging Market was valued at $150.1 billion in 2014, and it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.6% during the forecast period 2015-2020, according to the new report available from P&S Market Research, New York, N.Y., USA.
