Thriving in the New Normal: A Young Professionals Perspective

Most of us never expected to live through a global pandemic during our lifetime. But we did and now we must to look toward the future, to our new normal. How does each generation overcome the challenges brought by the COVID crisis? How have young professionals (YPs) just starting their careers fared? What can the industry do to create a positive company culture to attract and retain this critical generation? TAPPICon 2021 addresses this key issue during its May virtual event.

TAPPICon VIRTUAL, May 4-6, 2021, features a Young Professionals panel discussion focused on Thriving in the New Normal: How to Develop Your Workforce and Enhance Company Culture Post-COVID. Panelists discuss how to facilitate workforce development and strengthen company culture while the industry continues to face unique and unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees will hear an intro from each panelist and then participate in two break-out rooms where they can engage in topic-specific discussions, each hosted by two panelists.

TAPPICon 2021, developed and produced by TAPPI, is a two-part technical conference offering attendees a chance to learn from experts and engage in in-depth conversations both virtually and in-person. Part one, TAPPICon VIRTUAL, features four hours of content each day. The event provides professionals from around the world a platform to discuss key issues, new advancements/technologies and strategies for future success. It also offers multiple networking opportunities for attendees to reconnect with their peers and build new business contacts.

Attendee health and safety is TAPPI’s primary concern, so this year TAPPI's 17th Annual Runnability Fun Run/Walk will be held individually. Participants can safely run or walk on their own schedule, at any location, between May 4-18, 2021 and send TAPPI their results. All proceeds go to support the Scholarship Funds for TAPPI's Engineering Division, Process Control Division, Process and Product Quality Division, Paper and Board Division, and Coating and Graphic Arts Division.
