One of the major events of the PMPI season is coming up on Tuesday, April 29 at the Carnegie Library in Washington, D.C. It is our fabulous Derby Days event that brings the excitement of the Triple Crown horse races to the Potomac area with the help of our generous sponsor, Louisville CVB. One of the highlights of Derby Days is our Silent Auction, which is one of the major fundraisers for PMPI. The proceeds will help augment the cost of professional development and various member benefits (i.e. PMPI website, PMPI Engage, etc.) of our chapter.

At Derby Days 2014, we anticipate an attendance of more than 150 meeting professionals, and we invite you to participate by providing a donation to our Silent Auction. This year’s Silent Auction will be powered again by online service Bidding For Good. This awesome site allows you to view and bid online before and during Derby Days for our terrific auction items. As a donor your exposure intensifies greatly for Bidding For Good has a following of more than 300,000 bidders viewing all items in the system!

We encourage you to be creative in this opportunity. Why not consider providing lunch with your congressman, providing a piece of art by a beloved artist or extending a wine tour at a local Virginia winery? Of course, hotel accommodations, airline tickets, transportation items, etc. are perennial winners.

IF YOU ARE A PLANNER, you can also participate! If you have a side business or creative, please feel free to donate something that represents your skills. Of course, it would also be greatly appreciated if you can mention us to a prospective donor.

The Bidding For Good site for the Silent Auction is now open for donations. To donate online, simply click here and fill out the form.
