Sure, you’ve seen us in the teal aprons "winking and blinking" for your 50/50 donations, but did you know any of you can join us representing our chapter to communities in need? Our 2011 designated charity, The Children’s Inn at NIH, has been a reciprocal joy.

One Monday evening in April, nearly a dozen of us teamed up to host a delicious dinner for families of patients undergoing serious treatment at the world class National Institutes of Health. The Inn is a remarkable attempt to provide a home away from home in a time of stress.

The plan worked! 70+ guests were chattering and coming back for seconds at our colorful Spring themed dinner. Pie, ice cream and a souvenir toy made for extra smiles and kind remarks.

Thanks to all who participated and those who supported through donations. Join us next time and add to your PMPI "army of allies" while working for other’s welfare.

You recently received an email request to complete a survey about your membership experience with Meeting Professionals International. Please note this is different than our chapter satisfaction survey.

As a valued member of the Potomac Chapter we’re asking that you make time to make a difference and respond to the 2011 Membership Satisfaction survey because your input goes directly to international headquarters.

In a short 10 minutes you can provide your insight, and insure that MPI knows what you value most as an active member in this world-wide association. Input from previous surveys helped guide MPI to redesign conferences, create the professional development portal and increase the investment in education.

Please make time and respond today. You could win a free membership renewal or free registration to the 2011 WEC in Orlando, Fla.
