The MPI Potomac Executive Committee and Board of Directors agreed all chapter event venues should include gender-neutral bathrooms.

The chapter's venue RFP language for gender-neutral bathrooms is below as a sample to add to your RFPs:

Volunteer Spotlight - Natalie Deriu

Natalie Deriu

Education & Programs Coordinator
International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA)

Natalie Deriu has been in the meeting and event industry for approximately seven years, and she is one of the newest members of MPI Potomac's Publications Committee, where she will be the co-chair for FYI e-newsletter. She graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and received her event management certificate from George Washington University in 2018.

Deriu has received career advice from different people, but the main advice that comes to mind for her is if you have a good idea or plan, you should learn to trust your instinct.

She loves to travel in the U.S. and abroad, but her all-time favorite vacation spot is her home country, Chile. She actually has two hometowns — San Felipe, Chile, and Mifflin, Pennsylvania — and her dream job if money was no object would be travel blogger!
