The Membership Recognition and Engagement Committee is led by Linda Minor, VP of membership, Carrie Donahue, board of director, and Annalisa Berryhill, committee chair. The purpose of the committee is two- fold: to nurture the ongoing dialogue between members and chapter leadership and to recognize and show genuine appreciation for the MPI Potomac volunteers who share their time and expertise with the chapter and the industry. Chapter projects led by the committee include the MPI Shining Star Award, member birthday recognition and the Evening of the Stars awards that showcase the best of the best in the industry.

Success for this committee includes welcoming new and nonmembers to attend chapter events and education sessions. The committee also provides them with information about the chapter and how to get involved, and it helps them make connections with more seasoned members. Everyone is welcome to join the committee. Members can get involved by volunteering their time at events such as manning the membership table, assisting with logistics of the Insider and Ambassador program before every E2 or with the Evening of the Stars event at the end of the year.
