Event: MPI Potomac Chapter Capital Area Food Bank Drive
Date of Capital Area Food Bank Drive: Saturday, December 13, 2014
Time: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Location: 4900 Puerto Rico Ave NE, Washington, D.C. 20017

Food Bank Drive Details: Join the Capital Area Food Bank and help us strengthen and fill in gaps in the hunger safety net under the Greater Washington Area. The CAFB works with a network of 500 partner agencies to source out over 40 million pounds of food and we can only do it with your help in our DC Distribution Centers. This project typically involves packing and/or sorting donated food. It also can include packing for CAFB programs, and assisting with various other tasks at the food bank. All of these tasks are considered light/medium labor and typically involves standing up for up to three hours and lifting up to 35 pounds. This activity will take place in either our Food Donations Room or Repack Room and the temperatures can fluctuate, so please dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
