Did you know...?

About 80 percent of all out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in private residential settings, so being trained to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can mean the difference between life and death for a loved one.

Effective bystander CPR, provided immediately after cardiac arrest, can double a victim's chance of survival.

On an average day in the United States, 1,000 adults die from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), a total of 350,000 per year.

Defibrillation within the first minute of sudden cardiac arrest can save the lives of up to 90 percent of its victims.
