RESILIENCY OF THE MEETING PROFESSIONAL SERIES

In light of recent events, MPI Potomac knows our members have risen to the occasion despite widespread struggles in the meetings industry. It is our mission to provide valuable resources to support our members in this time of need. That is why we have put together a three-part series focused on handling stress, networking virtually and adapting to new workplace norms that will assist you in staying resilient through the unknowns ahead.

Power Up Your Networking … LinkedIn and BEYOND

With the meetings/hospitality industry virtually at a standstill, and many MPI members losing their jobs, a lot of us are wondering what’s next, let alone how to pay our bills. This session will concentrate on the power of LinkedIn for building up your networking efforts, how to update your profile, as well as alternate job directions for industry people at a loss on where to start.

At the Root of It All, Learning to Sway

Forget work-life balance; you need to find your inner tree and learn to sway! Work is just one branch on the your tree. Family, health and friends are some of the many branches you may have. Time is finite, but your task list never is. Priorities shift and change on an almost daily basis. Throw a global pandemic in the mix and you may feel like a tree weathering a hurricane. Trees are designed to sway in the ever-changing winds. It is this sway that makes them strong and resilient. Like the tree, if you are too rigid, cracks will form and something will give.
