Next Generation: At MACE! 2017, we will focus on the next generation of our industry and what the future holds. What kind of technologies will exist that are going to take us to the next level? How will this impact growth and our own professional development? New this year will be a featured Tech Alley at MACE! 2017, where tech exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase their wares and give demonstrations. We hope to encourage forward-thinking from our engaged members, as we continue to learn new and improved ways to do business. One example of a new technology that will be utilized at MACE! in 2017 are blended HD widescreens that function like digital billboards and display graphic, animations, videos and picture, in picture style presentations. We will also continue live streaming as we did in 2016, so attendees can participate anytime, anywhere! Make sure to lookout for live interviews from our very own Doug Sandler, who will be back in 2017 to ask the hard questions and ensure we have a lot of fun!

About the Washington Hilton:

As a proud member of the Historic Hotels of America, the beautiful 1,070-room Washington Hilton will be the home of MACE! 2017. Located just 4 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro, the Washington Hilton features 110,000 square feet of meeting space, and will be a great venue for our attendees to learn and network.

Some things you may not know about the Washington Hilton: Largest LED Interior Lighting System in U.S.: The same system that lights up the Empire State Building for holidays and special occasions was recently installed in Washington Hilton’s International Ballroom. The hotel installed 2,170 linear feet of customizable lighting, which is makes it the largest interior LED color-changing lighting system the U.S. The system offers meeting and event planners the capability to customize lighting colors, and add aesthetic effects on the ceiling of the 30,000 square feet ballroom.

Measurable Sustainability: In December 2015, Hilton Worldwide achieved the U.S. Department of Energy’s Superior Energy Performance (SEP) certification. Hilton Worldwide is the first hospitality company to achieve the certification, which measures U.S. commercial facilities’ improvement in energy management and productivity. Washington Hilton earned the only Platinum SEP rating by recording a 15.85 percent energy reduction in three years’ time. Washington Hilton’s platinum rating is currently the DOE’s highest certification.
