Alamo Group Inc. reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012. Net sales for the first quarter were $155.9 million compared to net sales of $140.7 million for the first quarter of 2011, an increase of 11%. Net income for the quarter was $6.8 million, compared to net income of $5.7 million, for the first quarter of 2011, a 19% increase.

AGCO reported net sales of $2.3 billion for the first quarter of 2012, an increase of 26.5% compared to net sales of $1.8 billion for the first quarter of 2011. Excluding unfavorable currency translation impacts of 4.3%, net sales in the first quarter of 2012 increased approximately 30.8% compared to the same period in 2011.
