Print this Article | Send to Colleague

For the 2025–2026 school year, three bursaries of $1,000 each will be awarded to Ontario high school students who identify as Indigenous, persons with disabilities, members of visible minority groups, and/or immigrants to Canada, and who demonstrate both financial need and a passion for veterinary medicine. OVMA’s EDI and Well-Being Committee will select recipients.

This bursary is an important first step toward advancing diversity and inclusion in veterinary medicine. OVMA looks forward to collaborating with educators to help deserving students take their first steps toward a rewarding veterinary career.

A copy of the application can be found here: https://www.ovma.org/what-we-do/future-veterinarian-bursary

The deadline for applications is April 30th, 2026.
