Johnson & Johnson Eyecare Welcomes Dr. Erin Rueff

We are excited to welcome Dr. Erin Rueff in her new role as Associate Director, North America Professional Education.

Dr. Rueff earned her OD degree and completed a cornea and contact lens residency at the Ohio State University (OSU). She went on to teach at OSU and completed a PhD in Vision Science. Her research was the first to explore the relationship between visual disorders, like presbyopia and binocular vision issues, and contact lens discomfort. Through this line of research, she has become a leading voice in defining how factors outside of the ocular surface influence contact lens dissatisfaction and dropout.

In 2018, she joined the faculty at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University and has since served as Chief of the cornea and contact lens department, while teaching in various contact lens and basic science courses. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and Diplomate in the AAO’s Cornea, Contact Lens, and Refractive Surgery Section. Erin has worked with J&J since 2021 as a Professional Affairs Consultant, helping to launch the ACUVUE OASYS 1-Day MAX family of lenses.

Erin’s unique combination of experiences in research, academia, professional education, and leadership adds to the breadth of experience in J&J's Professional Affairs group.

Please join us in giving Dr. Erin Rueff a warm welcome to the team!
