Empowering Tomorrow’s Optometrists: CooperVision’s Commitment to Student Growth
Optometry students today are entering a field that’s more dynamic than ever—where innovation, inclusivity, and patient-centric care are reshaping the future of eye care. At CooperVision, we believe that supporting students means more than offering resources—it means investing in your journey, your growth, and your potential to lead.
That’s why we’ve developed a suite of Student Programs (designed to complement learning with real-world experience, leadership development, and community impact. These initiatives reflect our commitment to partnering with the eye care professionals of tomorrow and helping you thrive in every stage of your education.
If you’re a third- or fourth-year student, the Bright Fellows Program offers a hands-on, activity-based experience that encourages clinical engagement, professional development, and community involvement. It’s a chance to build confidence while connecting with mentors and peers across the industry.
Students passionate about public health and service can participate in the Give Brightly Program, which empowers you to make a direct impact by helping patients in need—turning clinical care into a meaningful act of generosity while gaining additional contact lens fitting experiences.
Those exploring specialty lenses or myopia management have several opportunities to deepen their expertise and stand out in emerging areas of practice. Programs like the Specialty Excellence Award, and Myopia Management Certifications help students build advanced clinical skills and prepare for the future of vision care, all while gaining recognition and support from experienced professionals.
The Student Contact Lens Leadership Society, Student Myopia Leadership Society, and Specialty Contact Lens Travel Grant help make professional conference participation more accessible—encouraging you to share your insights, expand your network, and explore roles in the contact lens industry. These programs connect you with leaders who are shaping the future of eye care, offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure beyond clinical practice.
Inclusivity and leadership go hand in hand. The NOA Future Contact Lens Leader Scholarship celebrates students who demonstrate vision and initiative, offering financial support and a platform to engage with a broader professional community.
The Student Complimentary Lens Program provides a simple way to gain firsthand experience with CooperVision® contact lenses. All Optometry students receive a complimentary 6-month supply of contact lenses, or a pair of lenses from our specialty portfolio to gain firsthand experience with different CooperVision® contact lenses each year—enhancing clinical understanding and confidence in patient care.
Each of these programs is designed with one goal in mind: to support you as you grow into a confident, compassionate, and capable eye care professional. CooperVision’s commitment goes beyond products—it’s about partnership, education, and shared vision.
We invite you to unlock hands-on experiences, connect with mentors, and grow your clinical confidence through CooperVision’s student programs. These opportunities are designed to help you thrive—today as a student, and tomorrow as a leader in eye care.
