AZCOPT Students Continue to Excel in Boards Performance

The National Board of Examiners in Optometry Yearly Performance Report has shown that the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry (AZCOPT) continues to achieve success in educating its students to become skilled, highly prepared Doctors of optometry.

This year’s report, covering students who graduated from October 1, 2019, to September 20, 2020, lists AZCOPT as the top-ranked college in the nation for performance in Part I and Part II of the NBEO boards performance and second in overall pass rate for the reporting year.

Additionally, AZCOPT is one of only two colleges that have been shown to exceed the national average in all reported categories over the three years that the NBEO Yearly Performance Report has been issued.

“We continue to excel in boards performance because of the hard work, time, dedication and investment that our students have made in their futures as healthcare providers,” said Alicia Feis, OD, FAAO, Dean, AZCOPT. “Alumni have paved a path of excellence by starting their studies early, taking the time to ask questions, and remaining determined to give it their best effort so that they can leave a proud legacy.”
