Approximately $12.5 million in direct costs was awarded for research in basic science (down from $14.4 million), $14.8 million for research in clinical science (up from $11.9 million), and $7.8 million for research in translational science (down from $8.2 million).

The complete report was distributed to the ASCO Board of Directors in December and includes total awards by institution and information about faculty and facilities devoted to research.
