Optometry Student Internships Available
We’re excited to share that applications are now open for Walmart’s Optometry Internship Program, our pathway for developing the company’s next generation of ODs.
This paid, 10-week summer program (between first and second year) offers flexible scheduling and immersive, hands-on clinical experience. Interns are paired with an OD mentor and gain exposure across a wide range of practice areas, including basic visual services, diagnosis, and management of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, patient education, and real-world clinical business operations.
The program may also extend beyond the summer months, allowing students to continue learning on weekends or during academic breaks. Start and end dates are adaptable to align with individual academic calendars, and relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
