ASCO Publishes National Board of Examiners in Optometry Pass Rate Data on its Website

In collaboration with the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO®), the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) continues to post the pass rate data for every U.S. optometric institution on its website. The data for 2023 is found at: https://optometriceducation.org/news/national-board-of-examiners-in-optometry-yearly-performance-report/. Previous years reports, beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, are posted for comparison.

“NBEO is pleased to offer ASCO institutions this important data,” says Dr. Jill Bryant, NBEO Executive Director. “These results are from calculations using the scores of optometry candidates who have graduated during the 2022-2023 academic year as well as attempted all three parts of the exam at least once.”

“The pass rates from our schools and colleges of optometry in the US is very important information for us to have,” says Dr. Mark Colip, ASCO President. “We continue to be steadfast and resolved to ensure our students become the best qualified to enter the healthcare field of optometry.”
