ASCO Hosts Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice Summit
The second in a series of four sessions that make up ASCO’s Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice Summit was held on April 14th and covered Mentoring, Development, and Making your Mark: Interprofessional Education Optometry.
This COPE-approved presentation combined strategies for using interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP) opportunities with interprofessional mentorship to enhance professional development. Promotion guidelines along with example IPECP opportunities for each category was provided. Using this foundation, presenters discussed how to incorporate IPECP opportunities into individual professional development plans and how to leverage interprofessional mentorship to make your mark in IPE.
