Scientific, Clinical Poster Presentations Without the Travel?
Try AOA’s ePosters Virtual Event

A virtual reconfiguration to the Optometry’s Meeting® poster session generates a second-straight year of record-setting participation, as well as the flexibility to drop in without ever leaving your office.

The AOA’s ePosters Virtual Event, June 13-14, hosted in the AOA EyeLearn Professional Development Hub, is a national forum for clinicians, students and faculty to communicate interesting case studies and unique optometric research to colleagues. This year’s ePosters Virtual Event, supported by Janssen, features scores of original, digital poster presentations, conveniently scheduled across nine, 50-minute course segments to promote greater participation among educators and students.

“These virtual sessions are concise and informative,” notes Erik Mothersbaugh, OD, ePosters Virtual Event moderator.

“This is a great format to get exposure for your work and connect with colleagues who have similar interests.”

In 2022, the AOA reconfigured its traditional poster session into a hybrid engagement opportunity that leveraged AOA EyeLearn for greater participation and visibility—a format that drew a record number of submissions. This year, the AOA reports 8% more submissions for the virtual sessions.

“Last year, it was especially rewarding to see so many students and new doctors participate with the support of their mentors—really a phenomenal opportunity to build their presentation skills with a national audience.”
