Special Invitation to Interprofessional Leadership Training

The Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC), invites you to the 2022 IPEC Interprofessional Leadership Development Program (ILDP).

The 2022 ILDP, titled Interprofessional Education for Collaborative Practice: Leadership Strategies for Bridging the Gaps, will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 22-24, 2022.

Designed for leaders, directors, and program coordinators responsible for campus-wide interprofessional education (IPE) initiatives and residency/fellowship leaders in IPE for collaborative practice (CP), ILDP participants will develop an actionable plan for bridging the education-to-practice gap at their institution, along with a process to measure success.

As an industry leader, your insights are critical to the national conversation about how we to align innovative efforts in health professions education with those in the delivery system. Along with other leaders, we respectfully request your participation in helping shape the future of IPECP.

Key highlights of this unique program include:

  • Keynote presentation examining the National Academy of Medicine's past and current efforts to foster interprofessional collaboration;
  • Discussion of the IPEC Scoping Project on the impact of IPE on the quality of patient care;
  • Presentation and pilot of the IPEC Institutional Assessment Instrument to measure institutional capacity for high-quality programmatic IPE;
  • Workshop on strategies for building high performing interprofessional teams and translating these team practices to CP;
  • Exploration of the meaning of and different models of collaborative practice;
  • Showcase presentations during which participants will facilitate discussions about successes in bridging gaps; and
  • An expert panel discussion with speakers presenting both sides of the argument, pro and con, for IPECP.

Space is limited. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The $250 super early bird discount has been extended to May 13!
