New Enhancements to VSP Eyes of Hope Gift Certificates Program

As the VSP® Eyes of Hope® Gift Certificates Program celebrated 25 years, VSP enhanced the coverage to make it easier for patients to access no-cost vision care from VSP network practices, including schools of optometry eye care clinics. The following VSP Eyes of Hope Gift Certificates Program changes went into effect on April 1, 2022:

  • VSP Eyes of Hope gift certificates will now include VSP Choice Plan® coverage for both adults and children, and accommodate those who need materials-only benefits. Sight for Students® and Eyes of Hope Materials Only gift certificates are being retired since the VSP Eyes of Hope gift certificates will now include the same benefits.

  • Frame coverage is being expanded to include all Marchon® and Altair® Eyewear brands up to a $150 retail frame allowance ($57 wholesale frame allowance).

VSP Eyes of Hope gift certificates will also have a fresh new look. Clinics may still see patients through March 2023 with previously printed VSP Eyes of Hope and Sight for Students gift certificates. These gift certificates are still valid through their expiration date but will automatically include the enhanced coverage. The information in the VSP Provider Reference Manual will supersede what’s printed on the gift certificate.

If you have questions regarding these changes or would like to request gift certificates for your school’s clinic, email education@vspglobal.com.
