ASCO Hosts Town Hall Forum for Industry Partners

More than 70 attendees participated in ASCO’s first interactive Town Hall Forum for Industry Partners on Thursday, April 23.

Designed to be a means to support communications between representatives of ASCO’s Corporate Contributors and ASCO member schools and colleges during this challenging time, the Town Hall was a very successful, virtual discussion about how optometric education is grappling with the social distancing requirements currently in place. ASCO Corporate Contributors and the Deans and Presidents of ASCO member institutions had the opportunity to share insights and give feedback on the impact of COVID within education and the optometric industry. Topics included:

  • How optometry schools & colleges are responding to the pandemic;
  • How ASCO has been supporting the schools and colleges;
  • Education schedules and plans for next year;
  • How the pandemic will affect the Optometry Gives Me Life campaign; and
  • An open question and answer dialogue between Industry Partners and the Deans and Presidents

ASCO would like to thank our industry partners who were able to participate. We value our relationships and understand the need to find new ways to collaborate with our Corporate Contributors in lieu of in-person meetings. Please feel free to contact Christine Cummins, Director of Development, at 703-424-1435 or carmstrong@opted.org with any questions or comments.
