The Ontario government is increasing its construction funding subsidy to support the cost of developing or redeveloping a long-term care home. This additional funding will help fast-track the construction of new long-term care beds before August 31, 2023. This supports the government’s $6.4 billion commitment to build more than 30,000 net new beds by 2028 and 28,000 upgraded long-term care beds across the province.

The Ontario government is investing $4.8 million to expand the dual credit program, helping prepare more students for the jobs of tomorrow by better connecting learning in the classroom to good-paying jobs. The expansion of the program will create opportunities for an additional 2,200 students to earn college credits and take apprenticeship training while still in high school and help to build interest in skilled trades as a rewarding career.

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) is issuing a RFP for a new Project Management Services Provider (PMSP) early in the new year. Attached you will find more details regarding the timing for potential partners to prepare themselves. Of note you will notice that the new PMSP will be required to establish and manage various Vendor of Record arrangements in accordance with IO’s Procurement Policy.
