We are all aware of the acute shortage of labour impacting our industry today that has led to more efforts to spread work out and share it to be able to provide enough manpower to work on a project.

 

As the general contractor, and in most cases, the constructor, it is our responsibility to ensure that everybody on site has complied with the safety requirements that we employ and that are required by legislation.

After a hiatus of some time, we are pleased to report that the CDAO and I/O have set a schedule of new meetings to restore the collaborative relationship that had previously existed for many years.

 

Staff members of the CDAO, along with representatives from their membership, have begun a series of meetings to discuss key issues that are impacting work provided by I/O.
