OGCA News

Ontario General Contractors Association

As we start a New Year, we look forward to building on many of the initiatives that OGCA has started over the past few years.

Key to the successful outcome of these endeavours is our continued partnership with other associations through the CDAO and the CEC, among others. There is much to be done at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels, and OGCA, working with our partners, is addressing them.

The League of Champion’s is excited to announce its first college to sign on as a Patron. Welcome George Brown College!

George Brown College believes in changing the safety culture among their students and they anticipate that many will be taking the pledge in their commitment at its upcoming event. As educational leaders, they have the unique opportunity to inspire and influence such knowledge into your future workforce.

What is outstanding is that these students already understand and are incorporating safety within their culture and want to continue to protect themselves and those around them. The League is so proud to have George Brown College demonstrating their leadership as many of our Patrons continue to do.

George Brown College would like to extend an invitation to all Champions to participate in their upcoming safety event. The Event will be held on February 8, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Casa Loma Campus. For those interested in attending, please contact Lyndsy Miceli at lyndsy@ogca.ca for more details.

Safety

No matter how much we try to enforce safety on the worksite, there are still those who just don't get it. While these photos may be staged, they show the same types of incidents that you may see every day! Remember to stay safe, and make sure everyone gets home safely every day.
