Since Leadership Day, members and the industry have been hearing about the League of Champions. Working together, MySafeWork and OGCA have been doing a number of "soft" launches as we finalize the program. Based on the very positive feedback and suggestions from members and other stakeholders, we are pleased to announce the launch of The League of Champions website.

Our first three members have already signed up. Walsh Canada, Ball Construction Ltd. and EllisDon Corporation have received their Charters and are promoting the League by encouraging all OGCA members and industry stakeholders to sign up.

The League and its goals and mission are on the new website and they are aimed directly at reaching the next generation of industry professionals as well as the current leadership and workers in the industry today.

Find out how your firm can become a "Champion!" Sign up today to help deliver the message of safety throughout the Province and let’s all work to create a new "culture" of safety in our Province.

Legislative & Legal Updates
We now have a budget commitment from the federal government to financially support a long term infrastructure plan that includes infrastructure priorities of provinces and municipalities. The proposal is to deliver $120 billion in infrastructure spending over the next ten years.

In particular, the March 22nd budget proposes two phases of delivery, the first to include $11.9 billion to support near term investment in water, wastewater, public transit and affordable housing. Phase 2, which contains a larger dollar commitment, will focus on projects with a longer planning requirement.

Over the past 20 years, OsgoodePD has been a part of the learning journey for over 50,000 people. With over 1,300 CLE programs and 2,500 LLM degrees awarded, we’ve had professionals from all walks of life and from all over the world grace our classrooms and discussions. We wanted to share more widely some of the incredible diversity in experience and perspective that we get to see on a daily basis.

We asked 20 people who have been a part of OsgoodePD over the past 20 years to give us their perspectives on professional development. We asked them about their professional journeys, aspirations, OsgoodePD memories and advice. The stories are fascinating, and we’ve put together a selection of what they had to say.
