President Clive Thurston and Government Relations Director David Frame met with Premier Wynn, Attorney General Yasir Naqvi and Infrastructure Minister Bob Chiarelli at the annual Premier's Ottawa Golf Tournament. Included in the OGCA party were John DeVries of the OCA and his Chair Mark Wilson. Great day and discussion on infrastructure, Lien Act reform and procurement.
On Friday, September 30, 2016, during the Safety Event being held at Verdi Banquet Hall in Mississauga, several jerseys will be presented to the latest members of the League of Champions. MySafeWork's Rob Ellis will be on hand to present the jerseys.

We are currently working on the agenda and will send it out once it is ready.

As you all know, in the past we have presented the OGCA Safety Awards as part of the Annual General Meeting and Conference. This year, in order to encourage more members to attend, we have opted to hold the event in the Mississauga area. On Friday, September 30, we will be at the Verdi Banquet Hall, located at 3550 Derry Road East, in Mississauga, with a breakfast at 8:00 a.m., followed by the awards ceremony. We will also be having a ceremony to present League of Champions Jerseys and Charters to the latest members of the LOC. Things should wrap up by noon.

This year's AGM and Conference in Washington is sold out of hotel space, which is a first for OGCA! Next year, we will be in Toronto, and will make sure we have plenty of rooms on hand for those who are planning to attend. We hope that most of you will take advantage of the location and will make a long weekend of it!

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. (Toronto) is pleased to announce that it has been selected to build GE’s first multi-modal "Brilliant Factory" in Canada. A groundbreaking event was held at the greenfield site on August 26 to celebrate the start of construction.
