Canadian builder raises $500K for local communities in support of people experiencing homelessness

TORONTO, ON – Canadian construction company BLT Construction Services (BLT) is proud to officially announce a donation of $500,000 through their fundraising campaign, Building Blocks of Hope (BBOH). The aim of BBOH is to provide support to local charities that provide resources, community supports and access to housing for people experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Ontario and Quebec.

BLT Construction Services, with partner Sprung Structures, has led efforts in the design-build process for emergency temporary pandemic structures across Ontario and Quebec.

“When the pandemic began, our dedicated team of construction managers and design-build experts immediately shifted our focus to provide emergency solutions that would have the largest impact in supporting communities with their COVID-19 response,” said Mark Watts, President of BLT. “We pride ourselves on being innovative problem solvers, and we knew we could use our talented team to help our communities and BBOH takes this one step further. From the beginning, we pledged to help people experiencing homelessness by investing back into the communities where where we built pandemic response structures."
