Skills Ontario Competition & Career Exploration Showcase

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for your continued involvement with Skills Ontario. We truly couldn’t reach and inspire youth without your support, and we’re so excited to deliver this year’s Skills Ontario Competition and Career Exploration Showcase virtually!

The 2021 Virtual Skills Ontario Competition & Career Exploration Showcase will run on May 12 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (EST). Register at skillsontariovsoc.vfairs.ca/!

The Skills Ontario Competition is an incredible display of our future skilled workforce! It’s also a chance for Ontarians to connect with employers and advocates, and it is a great way to support the skilled trades and technologies. We’ve been running our competition in-person for over 30 years, and we’re proud to deliver this event in a virtual format in 2021. With contests running remotely, a virtual career showcase hosting several booths, a scavenger hunt, and more, we’re aiming to capture the excellence and magnitude of our Skills Ontario Competition virtually. With the event being online, spectators from anywhere in the province can visit from the comfort of their own home – no need to travel!

Just like our in-person event, we’re running conferences in conjunction with the Skills Ontario Competition! Our Young Women’s Conference and First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Conference will return, with the hands-on learning and mentorship that Skills Ontario is known for. On May 13, we’ll be hosting a Closing Ceremony where we’ll be announcing the winners of the virtual contests!

We’re also offering you a chance to craft your own social media content to promote your booth! Please visit this link to see the Illustrator files of the templates. Within these files, you’ll see templates in English and French for you to invite your followers to visit your virtual booth! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Also, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of our “I Have A Voice” campaign – we’re requesting that our partners take a quick survey on their thoughts on our programming. By filling out a survey, you automatically are entered in a draw to win a $1000 Amazon Gift Card. Get the details at skillsontario.com/ihaveavoice and hurry – the surveys close on March 31!

Thank you!
