What has the LOC been up to?

Summer 2022 is here, and the weather has been instrumental for our members to start hosting staff events. Our calendar is quickly filling up, so if you are planning any safety staff appreciation events, don’t hesitate to let us know! We look forward to seeing you soon. 

Last week, we had the pleasure of joining our Champions at Pomerleau as they presented a Synergy Award to the team at the Canada Post Albert Jackson processing centre. The Synergy awards are presented twice yearly to seven projects under construction across the country demonstrating excellence in Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality. Congratulations!

On June 2, we had the pleasure of attending the GVCA Swing into Spring event. After two years of virtual meetings, we were delighted to have been able to attend this fun and inspirational evening with other women in the local construction industry. 

The Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA) and the Women in Construction (WinC) group is a powerhouse network of women who work in every discipline of the construction industry. This group comes together three times a year for networking events to renew old friendships, make new ones, and have a good time. We would definitely recommend getting involved with this incredible group!
