The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) plans to implement a dental incentive program in 2019 in order to increase access to preventive dental care for OHP fee-for-service members.  To learn more about the proposed program, please read OHA's public notice.

House Bill 4143, passed during the 2018 Legislative Session, was targeted at the opioid epidemic in Oregon.  As part of that bill, all prescribers active with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) are required to register with the PDMP.  According to the 2018 Second Quarter report, there has been a 52 percent increase in dentist accounts, and a 42percent increase in dentist usage.
