Reminder: Updated Lead Service Line Inventories Due December 31, 2025

NYRWA wants to remind our member systems that your revised/updated Lead Service Line Inventory is due to the NYSDOH by December 31, 2025, and by December 31st of each year thereafter, until your water system no longer has any lead, galvanized service lines requiring replacement (GSLRR), or service lines of unknown material type.
How should we submit the inventory?
You must prepare the inventory using the State’s Template and submit it electronically via email as an attachment to LSLI.submission@health.ny.gov. If your inventory is greater than the file size 20 MB, you need to submit it through IBM Aspera SendVault secure file transfer service. Refer to “Instructions for Submitting Lead Service Line Inventory to the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)” for details.

Customer Notification Letter Templates
Template letters for customer notification if any portion of their service line is either lead, GSLRR, or an unknown material type are available at the link below. These letters must be completed and provided to consumers within 30 days of your annual lead service line inventory submission, which is due by December 31st of each year.
