Caitlin Sargent to Receive NYSAE Rising Star Award

Caitlin Sargent, Senior Associate, Securities Industry & Financial Markets Assn. (SIFMA) has been selected to receive this year’s Rising Star honor at NYSAE’s Synergy Awards breakfast scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2021 at Current at Chelsea Piers. 

Caitlin is a Senior Associate in Conferences and Events at SIFMA, a financial trade association whose events foster meaningful conversations about the capital markets and provide valuable professional development opportunities. Caitlin has been at SIFMA for four years and manages all logistics and invoicing for 23 member Roundtables and works on several domestic events per year. Some of her responsibilities include, establishing meeting objectives, selecting and inspecting meeting sites, scheduling the meeting, budgeting revenue and expenses, managing all speaker deliverables and trainings, serving as venue point of contact through sourcing, contracting, F&B, accommodations, audio-visual needs and more.

Caitlin’s passion for events, people and education led her to intern for the C&E team at SIFMA in January of 2017 while attending LIM College in New York City. After graduating from LIM College, Caitlin started full time as an Associate at SIFMA. Caitlin has always been intrigued by events and the various aspects that go into organizing them - from the early stages of planning and strategizing to seeing the end result come to life and all aspects in between.

This past December, Caitlin successfully completed her Digital Event Strategist Certification through PCMA. Caitlin holds a BA in Marketing and Concentration in Event Planning from LIM College.
