The New York State Association of REALTORS has partnered with the national REALTORS Relief Foundation (RRF) to bring disaster housing assistance to those affected by Tropical Storms Irene and Lee. Click here for more information.
 
In its U.S. Foreclosure Market Report for August 2011, RealtyTrac Inc. reported New York State had 2,102 total foreclosures, a decrease of 5.53 percent from July and a decrease of 56.27 percent from August 2010. GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Tell the US Senate to pass legislation for the long-term reauthorization of the NFIP to ensure access to affordable flood insurance. On September 19, NYSAR staff met with representatives from the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs regarding New York City's Tenant Screening Law. NYSAR staff submitted questions regarding implementation and enforcement of the law and specifics regarding compliance with the application process and sign requirements. Click here to learn more.

NYSAR must receive all RPAC contributions by Friday, October 7, leaving RPAC of NY just two weeks to reachits 2011 fundraising goal of $763,530.
