ACI Committee 302, Construction of Concrete Floors, and the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) are collaborating to survey users on their experiences with ASTM C595, Type IL Portland-limestone cement concrete. The responses will be used to evaluate the current state-of-the-art for Type IL cement concrete to provide feedback and further communication within the concrete industry.

Participation in this survey is encouraged to broaden the scope and balance of the response; it has 15 questions and should take 5 -10 minutes to complete. The survey ends September 30.

Concrete 101 (CCSP I) will be taught October 17 -20 in Denver. This annual introduction to concrete fundamentals is for those who need a broad overview of technical and operations essentials. The curriculum is appropriate for sales reps, dispatchers, administrative/home office and mid-level staff as well as those in executive functions whose jobs do not relate to concrete per se, but who should have knowledge of the industry. This class is NOT appropriate for technical ready mixed concrete personnel.

For those working toward their NRMCA STEPS® CCPf certification in the Sales and Marketing Track, this is a required class. For others working toward CCPf certification in other STEPS tracks, the class is the qualifying prerequisite or an elective.
