NRMCA will revise the Industrywide Environmental Product Declaration (IW EPD) and Benchmark Report for Concrete in 2023. Green building standards and policies continue to drive environmental disclosure. NRMCA published previous versions in 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2021 and will revise the IW EPD and Benchmark Report for Concrete to ensure the latest environmental data are included per the standards and regulations.

Join NRMCA tomorrow, August 24, from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time, for a webinar to discuss the process for participating in the IW EPD and Benchmark Report and why your participation is critical.

For more information, contact Matthew Lemay, at mlemay@nrmca.org or 847-323-0413.

Government Affairs

This year, NRMCA will partner with the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association and the National Asphalt Pavement Association for the Legislative and Policy Forum 2023 scheduled for September 25 - 27. There are a number of critical issues facing our industry in Washington, including continued infrastructure funding, resilient construction and workforce policies. This is an opportunity for NRMCA members to come to Washington to hear from national leaders and meet with their Members of Congress and key congressional staff to build and develop relationships with policy makers who represent ready mixed concrete constituencies.

Click here for more information and to register; NRMCA members can register under the NRMCA or NAPA Hill Day rate. The staff contact is Andrew Tyrrell at atyrrell@nrmca.org.

The NRMCA Local Paving Division has released its latest Pave Ahead promotional flyer. Concrete Intersections is the first of three flyers to be developed in response to comments from the NRMCA Concrete Promotion Committee. Upcoming flyers will include Concrete Overlays for Intersections and Concrete Roundabouts.

“Our members spoke, and we listened,” said Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge. “Our number one goal is to serve the needs of our members. Coming out of September’s Promotion Committee meeting, these three topics were identified as targeted markets, with a need to develop appropriate supporting material.”

The Concrete Intersections flyer (shown here) can be found at paveahead.com/resources under the Concrete Streets tab or can be downloaded here. For more information, contact Phil Kresge at pkresge@nrmca.org.
