NRMCA has crafted the fourth annual member survey to measure regulatory action within the industry to determine regulatory trends on specific issues, issue types and in geographic regions. This information, while strictly confidential, will help NRMCA to better tailor its actions to address and/or combat any such issues and to keep a finger on the pulse of when, where, how and why regulatory agencies are targeting and/or levying enforcement actions against the industry. NRMCA urges you to take the survey at your earliest convenience. The survey will be held open until 5 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, February 28. Click here to take the survey. For more information, contact Kevin Walgenbach at kwalgenbach@nrmca.org. Registration for NRMCA’s Spring Safety Course is now open; please note that this course will sell out very soon. Please attend NRMCA's Workforce Development Committee meeting at the annual convention on Tuesday, March 5, from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Hear about all the work it did during its first year as well about its plans. Additionally, this very active committee hopes you will share your input. The group will follow up with a two-day working meeting and networking opportunity in Chicago, May 13-14. Current committee membership includes senior HR and training executives/directors/managers, and senior level managers from all spectrums of the ready mix business. The committee’s goals are to address industry-wide recruitment and retention, as well as employment, labor, regulatory and legislative issues while continuing the work of the former Educational Activities Committee. In today’s full employment economy, our industry is vigorously competing with everyone to fill – and keep – staff, from entry level to the C-Suite. Only by working together can we support the skills, knowledge and employment practices that buttress the current and future ready mixed concrete business environment.
