NRMCA Promotes Resilient Construction at Fire Marshals Symposium

 

NRMCA recently participated in the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) 2025 Annual Symposium from August 10 - 13 in Biloxi, MS. Joel Waters, executive director of the Mississippi Concrete Association, and Shamim Rashid-Sumar, NRMCA senior vice president, codes and standards, exhibited at the event to showcase the resilience of concrete structures in disaster events in keeping with the theme of the event, All Hours, All Hazards: Disasters Never Sleep! Rashid-Sumar (seen here with booth visitors) also presented on Investigating ICF Wall Construction Meeting the Requirements of NFPA 285.

NASFM comprises the most senior fire officials in the United States; its primary mission is to protect human life, property and the environment from fire in addition to improving the effectiveness of state fire marshals’ operations. NRMCA is a corporate member of NASFM.
