Next Installment of Build With Strength's School Summit Series Set for May in Texas

School administrators, district officials and architects specializing in educational facilities are invited to a unique event focused on the future of school construction: the next installment of Build With Strength's School Summit Series, High-Performance Construction for K-12 Schools, will take place at Tremco University in Coppell, TX, on May 7 - 8.

The summit aims to provide attendees with the knowledge, tools and connections necessary to create and maintain top-tier school environments that prioritize safety, resilience, sustainability and inspiration. Attendees can expect to witness success stories of schools and public safety buildings that have achieved net-zero energy usage, disaster resilience, sustainability targets and cost-effective maintenance goals. Industry experts will share insights on innovations in carbon reduction, building methods, materials and strategies to help schools reach net-zero energy. The summit will also address how A/E teams have overcome construction project challenges while delivering quiet and innovative learning environments. Participants will also get to experience the Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) environment through visits to local schools and public safety buildings.

The two-day event includes a comprehensive agenda. Day One features sessions on intentional construction innovation, designing for teacher salary savings, high-performance energy case studies and carbon reduction strategies. Day Two will cover ICC-500 presentations, project site visits to Crockett Middle School and Valley Ranch Elementary School in Irving, TX, and a roundtable discussion on the estimation, installation and construction of insulated concrete form schools. An evening dinner and a Building Enclosure Challenge are also planned.

The summit offers a CEUS course titled High-Performance Construction for K-12 Schools that provides five AIA LU/HSW credits.

The event is co-sponsored by Nudura, Tremco Construction Products Group, NRMCA, Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects and Build With Strength. Click here for more information. For questions, contact Tremco CPG Learning at Tremcocpglearning@tremcoinc.com.
