NRMCA’s Supervisors Course will be offered during the upcoming Spring Semester. This course provides learners with essential skills, methodologies and strategies to improve their leadership and management abilities. Ready mix professionals currently in supervisory positions; those aspiring to take on supervisory roles at their company or any learner looking to make a positive impact on their workplace are welcomed to enroll in this course.
The curriculum was remodeled in 2024 with a focus on ensuring that learners are given the practical tools and knowledge they need to effect change and implement measurable improvement in their own work environments. Some methodologies explored in this course include management and communication frameworks such as the Skill/Will Matrix and DiSC communication styles. Models for time management and conflict resolution are also central components of the subject matter which learners will cover during lectures and discussions. Ultimately, the major objective of this course is for learners to understand their own strengths and opportunities as supervisors and leaders so that they may help their colleagues achieve their full potential.
Learners enrolled in the course will benefit from training sessions guided by expert instructors with a wealth of experience in management, education and human resources. The course faculty includes Delta Mitchum, director of human resources at Thomas Concrete and Jeannette Munroe, NRMCA senior vice president of learning and development.
The Supervisors Course will be offered from May 5 - 6 and May 8 - 9 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, as part of the Spring Semester Series.
