RMC Research & Education Foundation Establishes Robert P. Turner Center for Professional Excellence

The RMC Research & Education Foundation’s Board of Trustees recently voted to establish the Robert P. Turner Center for Professional Excellence within the RMC Research & Education Foundation. Robert P. Turner, who passed away in July 2021, was instrumental in the development of the Foundation as a lasting industry resource for research and education. He was a passionate supporter of the Foundation, NRMCA and the ready mixed concrete industry overall. He was a mentor to many in the ready mixed concrete industry and believed strongly in recruiting, cultivating and investing in good people.

Recognizing his legacy and that workforce development resources for the industry are more important than ever, the RMC Foundation Board is directing funds donated in Bob’s memory into an endowed fund specifically for education and recruitment. By creating this designated fund, the Foundation is further memorializing Bob’s contributions and legacy to the ready mixed concrete industry and aligning them specifically with the education part of the Foundation’s mission.

Contributions previously made in Bob’s memory will automatically be directed to this segregated fund. New contributions to The Robert P. Turner Center for Professional Excellence may be made electronically at www.rmc-foundation.org/contribute. Designate in the notes that your contribution is in memory of Robert P. Turner. Checks payable to the RMC Research & Education Foundation may be mailed to 66 Canal Center Plaza, Suite 250, Alexandria, VA 22314 and please designate in the memo section that your gift is in memory of Robert P. Turner.
