India Region Welcomes Whitetopping of Roads

"While the lifespan of ordinary bitumen roads is 5-10 years, the white-topped roads will have a lifespan of around 30 years. The cost for white topping would be 200-250% higher than the ordinary bitumen road construction but this could prove beneficial to the state in the long run considering the durability and strength," he said. Hanish made the comments after a 5.5km stretch on a local road was whitetopped.
