Mixer Trucks Placed on Barges as Part of Vegas Area Water Project

Now here's something you don't come across every day. A host of concrete mixer trucks placed on barges and floated to the job site, all part of the never-ending challenges of bringing water to a thirsty Nevada region. Las Vegas tunnel contractors are pumping concrete 350 feet to the bottom of Lake Mead as part of construction for a new intake pipe to deliver drinking water to the valley.
