Build With Strength, Pave Ahead Attend Maryland State Affiliate Conference

Build With Strength and Pave Ahead recently collaborated with the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association (MRMCA) at its 25th annual concrete conference, reports NRMCA Manager, Building Innovations, Derek Torres. The event, hosted by MRMCA, the Maryland Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Transportation, Build With Strength and Pave Ahead, invited architects, engineers, contractors and decision makers to a series of panel and roundtable discussions regarding the future and impact of low carbon concrete and performance-based specifications in the construction and paving industry along with celebrating Maryland’s women in concrete.

Build With Strength’s Shamim Rashid-Sumar joined Torres in helping to support and educate attendees on the services and resources offered by NRMCA, including insulated concrete forms (ICFs) and specification reviews. Pave Ahead’s Phil Kresge also attended, offering his expertise on pervious concrete.
