Last week, NRMCA exhibited at Building Innovation 2023 hosted by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) in Washington, DC. The annual conference brings together government agencies, architects, engineers, contractors and scientists among others to engage in discussions and work groups to improve the built environment. This year’s event focused on four major topics: Resilience, Technology, Building Performance and Sustainability, and Workforce.

NRMCA/Build With Strength is an organizational member of NIBS and participates in NIBS’ councils on Industry Leadership, Disaster Preparedness and Building Performance as part of its codes and standards advocacy strategy.

For more information on NRMCA/Build With Strength codes and standards advocacy efforts, contact Shamim Rashid-Sumar (shown here at the exhibit hall booth, with NRMCA/BWS colleague Frank Gordon at right) at ssumar@nrmca.org.
