The owner of the Rio Grande Golf Club and Resort in Colorado decided to use a concrete overlay over an older asphalt parking lot to enhance its appearance (seen here, photo courtesy of Leonard Velasquez), reports NRMCA Vice President, Local Paving, Don Clem. The resort is located along the Rio Grande River in South Fork. Leonard Velasquez, an American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) member, promoted the project; he has completed numerous concrete overlay projects in the metro Denver area over the last several years. Velasquez worked closely with Clem to develop a concrete overlay design through NRMCA Pave Ahead Program.

The project was constructed under the direction of Atsa Valdez, SLV Quality Concrete, an ASCC member company.
